DEPARTURE

EMIGRATING FROM CURAÇAO....

THERE ARE ALSO PEOPLE WHO,
FOR WHATEVER REASON,
LEAVE THE ISLAND.

Besides the fact that many people like to live and work on Curaçao, there are also persons who, for whatever reason, leave the island. I for all takes care of your deregistration and helps you with the matters that need to be taken care of before you leave the island permanently or if you are already abroad.

There is a simple procedure for Dutch and Americans who want to leave the island. As long as the tax matters are properly taken care of and there are no outstanding fines, it is quite simple to leave permanently by means of an deregistration from the municipal register here. You will then receive the removal notice indicating the municipality and country to which you are moving. For people of another nationality, an extensive procedure must be completed before you may leave; the so-called stamp procedure. You must obtain a number of stamps from the various government agencies and only when all these stamps are present can you deregister from the municipal register and receive the so-called removal notice. Again, tax matters must be completed and any outstanding fines paid.

I FOR ALL HANDLES THE ENTIRE DEREGISTRATION

We take care of the entire procedure to obtain a deregistration from the Curaçao town hall. If you would like I for all to take care of your tax affairs as well, we can do so and will draw up an authorization. I for all will then take care of your tax returns as long as the correct information is available such as payslips and annual statements etc. We will also maintain contact with the tax authorities until all tax matters have been dealt with. This can take a lot of time. I for all will also verify for you whether you have any outstanding fines and settle them. Do you have your own company that needs to be dissolved? I for all will ensure that your company is deregistered with the government authorities. Do you have more questions before you leave? Feel free to let us know. We will be happy to help you.
