OWN BUSINESS

THERE IS A LITTLE MORE TO IT...

STARTING YOUR OWN BUSINESS?
DON'T FORGET THE PERMITS

If you want to start your own business in Curaçao, you will need several permits for this as well. Depending on the type of business (sole proprietorship, director/owner/shareholder of a BV, NV,) there are different procedures that must be followed to obtain the proper permits. You will need to apply for an establishment permit at the permits office, after which MEO (Ministry of Economic Development) will assess this and, depending on your status within your own company (director, shareholder or employee), your nationality and whether or not you are registered in the Curaçao municipal register, you will also need to apply for a work permit. In some cases, it is mandatory to engage an accountant to prepare an investment statement for you.

I for all is happy to take care of, advise and assist you in setting up your business and for this purpose works closely with specialized companies such as a tax specialist, tax advisor, accountant and notary. They can inform you in detail what form (sole proprietorship, partnership, BV. NV etc.) best suits your business and what business set-up is the right one from a tax point of view. By drawing up an authorization you can let I for all do the entire establishment of your company and I for all will apply for the necessary permits provided you meet the right conditions. We also take care of the complete registration of your company with the various government agencies such as registration in the Chamber of Commerce, registering and applying for a crib number with the tax authorities, applying for the establishment permit, registering with the SVB, creating an employment register, etc.
