Own business

There is a little bit more to it
Starting your own
Business?
Don’t forget the permits!

When you want to start your own business on Curaҫao, there are several permits you need to obtain, and certain procedures you need to follow. There are different types of businesses, such as a sole proprietorship, or you could be a director/owner/shareholder of a (limited liability) partnership or corporation, for example. Depending on the type of company you want to register, you need to request a permit to establish a business, and/or a management permit at the permit office, after which MEO (Ministry of Economic Developments) will evaluate your request.
Depending on your status within your company (director, shareholder, or employee), and depending on whether or not you are registered as a Curaҫao resident, you may also need to request a work permit, and submit and investment plan. In some cases it is a good idea to work with an accountant, who could help create an investment plan for you.

I For All is here to advise you and assist you in getting your business set up properly. We work in close collaboration with specialized companies such as tax advisors, accountants and public notaries. They can help you decide which business type suits your needs the most (sole proprietorship, partnership, or corporation, etc.) and advise you on how to set up your company in the most advantageous way for tax purposes.

By providing I For All with written authorization to act on your behalf, I For All can request all the necessary permits for you, as long as you meet all the necessary requirements. I For All can also take care of the complete registration process with the different authorities, such as the Chamber of Commerce, registering and requesting a Crib-number at the tax office, requesting business and management permits, registering at SVB, creating a registry of all employees in your company, etc.
